Alex Blunden

PODIATRIST
Alex completed her podiatry studies at the University of South Australia in 2019. Whilst having a keen interest in all aspects of podiatry, she especially enjoys providing general skin and nail care, ingrown toenail surgery, diabetes management, musculoskeletal issues and paediatrics. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, playing netball, taking pilates classes and cooking.

WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT/WHY WOULD PEOPLE COME SEE YOU?

“I pride myself on my communication skills and ensuring the patient and I are always on the same page with our management plan. I also aim to provide complete care by engaging other health professionals where necessary to achieve optimal outcomes for every patient. I really value working across multi-disciplinary clinics, which allows us to do so.”

ALEX HAS A KEEN INTEREST IN ALL ASPECTS OF PODIATRY BUT IS ESPECIALLY INTERESTED IN:

  • Diabetes assessments and education
  • Wound care and offloading
  • Ingrown toenails (conservative and surgical treatment)
  • Paediatric podiatry
  • Lower limb biomechanics

  • Member of Australian Podiatry Association
  • Completed student placements in various rural locations such as Whyalla, Broken Hill, APY lands and Coober Pedy
