Matthew completed his undergraduate studies in 2006, acquiring a Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of South Australia. Matthew has worked in both the public and private sectors since, gaining a wealth of experience in providing podiatric care for a broad range of lower limb conditions. For the last 6 years Matthew has been practising in Canberra where musculoskeletal/sports complaints have formed the majority of his case load. Matthew has always had a keen interest in sports medicine and lower limb biomechanics. This interest has led to further post graduate education, and he is currently undertaking a Masters of Sports Medicine through the University of Melbourne. Matthew thoroughly enjoys his work as a Podiatrist and provides a full range of treatments including general nail and skin care, diabetic foot assessment and management, nail surgery, orthotic prescription, and gait analysis. Outside of work Matthew enjoys leading an active lifestyle, and spending time with his wife and two young children.
WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT/WHY WOULD PEOPLE COME SEE YOU?
“I strive to achieve the best treatment outcomes through a patient-centred approach to care and injury rehabilitation. I believe that all patients require an individualised plan that takes into account their own specific set of circumstances, and that decisions regarding treatment should be made in collaboration between a well-informed patient and their practitioner.”
MATTHEW HAS A KEEN INTEREST IN ALL ASPECTS OF PODIATRY BUT IS ESPECIALLY INTERESTED IN:
