Podiatrist

Konrad is a Podiatrist at myPod Podiatry, with a particular interest in lower limb biomechanics and the ethical delivery of high-quality foot orthotics to patients with lower limb pathology.

Alongside his clinical work, Konrad has experience as an Academic Tutor in Foot Orthotics and Biomechanics at the University of South Australia and has assisted in the development of the foot orthotics and biomechanics curriculum at Newcastle University and Queensland University of Technology.
A significant part of his career has been spent inside orthotic manufacturing itself. He has established orthotic manufacturing facilities in Canada, India, the United States, Singapore and across Australia, and has worked as the primary podiatric consultant on the development of the LaserCAM Orthotics computer-aided design software for orthotic manufacture. He also provides training in the use of 3D scanning to Podiatrists across Australia to capture the human foot to optimise orthotic function and comfort.
This work sees him regularly invited to speak on orthotic design and manufacture. He has presented at OT World in Leipzig on advanced orthotic manufacture utilising SLS 3D printing and has sat on orthotic manufacturing panels at the National Podiatry Conference in Australia.
He also developed the Australian training curriculum for EXO-L ankle braces, working alongside Australian hockey player Trent Mitton and Australian team physiotherapist Suzie Goodall.
Konrad obtained his undergraduate degree in Podiatry from the University of South Australia in 2011.
Having been in practice for 15 years, Konrad is trained in a range of advanced podiatric modalities including extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), PACT anti-fungal nail therapy and SWIFT microwave wart treatment.
KONRAD HAS A KEEN INTEREST IN ALL ASPECTS OF PODIATRY BUT IS ESPECIALLY INTERESTED IN:
– Foot orthotic therapy and orthotic prescription for lower limb pathology
– Lower limb biomechanics and gait assessment
– 3D foot scanning and digital foot capture
– Advanced orthotic manufacturing, including SLS 3D printing
– Ankle bracing and lower limb injury prevention
