BUNION MANAGEMENT

Whilst it is common for children to experience pain in their feet, it is never something to be ignored. The team at myPod Podiatry offer comprehensive paediatric assessments for a variety of issues including aches and pain, flat feet, toe walking, in-toeing, ingrown toenails, wart treatment and footwear assessments.

Lower limb aches, pains and injuries are common in many sports, particularly those that involve high impact actions such as running and jumping. The team at myPod Podiatry is experienced in assessing and treating many sport related injuries including plantar fasciitis, tendinopathies, stress fractures, shin splints and blisters as well as footwear assessments. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a professional athlete, we can help!

Ingrown toenails occur when the edge of a nail either applies too much pressure or pierces the neighbouring skin. It is a painful condition and one of the most common issues we address. Nail surgery is a common procedure performed by Podiatrists to effectively treat an ingrown toe nail. Surgery may be required when an Ingrown toe nail repeatedly gets infected, is continually painful, affects the patient’s ability to wear shoes, or the ingrown nail begins to inhibit work, sport or activities.

Bunions (or Hallux Abducto Valgus) are a very common condition that we see. These can present at various different stages with varying degrees of pain experienced by the patient. At myPod Podiatry we will assess your individual case and provide a treatment plan including conservative options, shoe wear education and surgical discussion (if deemed necessary) to achieve the best clinical outcome for you.
