TALYSHA REEVE

Podiatrist

 

Talysha is one of the Senior Podiatrists at myPod Podiatry, in addition to being an internationally recognised podiatrist & educator, with a particular interest in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions.
Outside of her clinical work, Talysha is an Academic Lecturer and Biomechanics Clinical Supervisor at the University of South Australia. She also runs an international education platform for practicing health professionals, focused on musculoskeletal injury management – The Progressive Podiatry Project.
Her clinical expertise in musculoskeletal injury management sees her regularly invited to present at conference and educational events both in Australia and around the world.
Talysha obtained her undergraduate degree from Western Sydney University (NSW) in 2007 and completed further post-graduate education in clinical rehabilitation from Flinders University (South Australia) in 2015.
Throughout her career Talysha has gained a wide range of experience in both injury management, clinical rehabilitation, and managing workers’ compensation injuries.
Having been in practice for 18 years, her particular area of clinical interest has evolved into the assessment and management of complex & chronic musculoskeletal conditions of the lower extremity, with particular focus on their treatment via exercise & movement-based therapies.
TALYSHA HAS A KEEN INTEREST IN ALL ASPECTS OF PODIATRY BUT IS ESPECIALLY INTERESTED IN:
– The assessment & management of running-related injuries
– Pre- & post-operative foot and ankle surgical rehabilitation
– Physical rehabilitation of acute and chronic lower limb injuries
– Strength training, running training programming, and functional restoration programs
– Running footwear & orthotic therapy
– Workers’ Compensation injuries and return-to-work planning
